I suspect that you intentionally went out to find trash, but it’s a good idea to start carrying a couple trash bags for whenever I go to the park from now on.

My back left pocket is my trash pocket, I always have it with me. Obviously not putting anything wet or muddy in there though.

Pro tip for y’all: Take a plastic store bag, mash it flat on the table, fold it lengthwise, mash out the air, repeat twice. Starting at the bottom, roll it up tight, chasing the air out as you go and using your fingers to keep it from spreading out sideways, rubber band shut. Make a dozen while you’re at it.
Keep at it and don’t get discouraged! I’ve cleaned miles of trails around here and they mostly stay clean. Went from carrying home 2-3 bags home to not finding enough to bother with opening 1, just stuffed the little bit of trash in my pack.
