I remember seeing this lad in the Hale End series they did a couple of seasons ago. Most of the others in that video have since left the club. Interesting to see that he’s still around, considering that we picked him up when he was dropped by another club (West Ham maybe?) and he barely made it through that year of our academy.

Also, from what I recall, he seemed more like an old-school centreback than a modern Continental one. But then he must have some serious skills for Arteta to be putting him on the bench for first team matches.

Either way, good luck to him. I hope he has a killer loan spell and comes back to either help out the first team or springboard on to a better loan spell.
