Not only are non-Christians in trouble. They’re even coming for plenty of Christians. Because they aren’t the right kind of Christian. There’s no way they let the United Methodist Church get away with being queer allies now. Same with certain other sects.

Look at other theocratic regimes; it’s always such a handy coincidence that the government knows what God wants, and what God wants somehow always manages to be what they want. This provides narrative cover to basically do anything, because you can always just say that you did it to defend Christianity.
