Explanation: For any non-Americans, those are photos of Abraham Lincoln, who was president during the US Civil War, fought to prevent plantation owners in the South from splitting off and forming their own country where they could maintain slavery in perpetuity. The four years he was in office were quite clearly… hard on him.
It definitely was hard on him but the before picture doesn’t show happiness imo, it’s the look of a man that knows there is shit to be done.
It’s the look I strive for at the start of a busy weekend.
