The only reason I would accept this is real, is if this call involved something incredible important, like, I don’t know, funeral arrangements for a recent departed family member, a judge /social worker/custody call in which weather or not the kids custody is decided, the final stage of an interview process while being in the limits of almost full destitution, doctor news after a recent neurological study done on your own self due to strange and out of character behaviors, and so on.

You know, important stuff.

If it is work related, you “should” be able and capable to do anything and everything about whatever issues they pose on the call without prep time. After all they hired you for a reason.

If it is any of the myriad of non emergency/traumatic experiences humans live daily (Ie: a social call)

Barring you suffering disabilities beyond your control or being a minor, It is EXPECTED you will be able to handle it. We are a social animal and we aim to live extremely pro social lives, taking interest not only on ourselves but on others.
