If you’re a jealous, resentful man child (Let’s be real, it’s always men), someone else’s life getting better is basically the same as your life getting worse.
Edit: it’s mostly men. You people who are trying to make it all about that are ignoring the point I was trying to make. It’s about resentful, jealous people. Man child is just a convenient term, and “always” was meant to be interpreted as hyperbole.
It is absolutely not always men. There are plenty of cranky ass old women, and idiots who have bought the propaganda. Hell, we’ve got a few loud mouths in congress right now who are MAGA turds.
