Sounds like a temporary thing while they do a rework for improvements. The Osprey was an absolute shit show in development and early use, but seems to be about average as far as mechanical failures in more recent years. Makes me curious what the next iteration will look like.
The V-280 program is coming along pretty quickly, last I heard. Or do you mean specifically the V-22?
Nah, I wasn’t thinking of a specific program, just what the next iteration of ‘Move fighting units fast’ turns out to be. In the same vein as the transformation from helicopter to tilt rotor. There will be a next machine type.
