How do you like those numbers, Helldivers?!
Through the Galactic War you’ve been crushing tyranny and spreading Managed Democracy with unrelenting firepower! Your dedication to the cause is nothing short of legendary. Keep exterminating threats, keep the bullets flying, and let’s give 'em hell!
Game is too bound by numbers. Its fun game play wise, but the world map level and story are too tied to player base numbers. Especially as it just scales as more are online. At the end of the day it just boils down to getting X percent on a planet.
Taking a planet needs to feel like a campaign, not just ticking numbers.
Feels like that would script it more than it already is
All depends on implementation, really.
If they’re so tied to the DnD aspect, let us use resources on a tactical planet map and introduce some sort of chance aspect for both sides that allows for breakthroughs. Untie the system from the hard X% of active players it is.
Have it so tactical objectives can add or subtract from liberation % when taken on the map.
Friendly Fire Isn’t
I’m certain all 4.9 million mine casualties were not accidents, but sacrifices made by brave heroes being chased by swarms of enemies who decided to lead them to their doom
Surprise Freedom Packages lead to unexpected cases of Corporal Liberation.
The halls of liberty are continually painted with the blood of saints and patriots.
Can confirm, I start over once I reach the end
