While what the administration is doing is certainly shitty, this (barring some contravening circumstances) would have needed to happen under any administration, nearly everywhere else in the world.
Surely there are more pressing people to deport that actually have a criminal record?
I question “needed,” as it implies necessary or somehow beneficial.
