Models with 1000V support will be rolled out gradually in the coming months to the high-end models, allowing charging 300 km in 5 minutes, Auto Pixel reports. Compared with the 800V platforms, every additional 100V increases charging power by 25 kW at the same current.

Pretty crazy, that sounds like a big update to BYD models.

    This seems big. Slow charging times compared to filling with petrol is one of the things that frustrates me with regards to EVs. A ‘full tank’ in 5 minutes seems a lot more practical.

      I was considering buying an EV but I got lost in every different “electricity provider” out there, and the fact that you don’t even know how much you pay at the station until you see the amount on your bank statement lol. That’s some pre-historic consumer experience

        Where don’t you see the charged amount on the spot? Is that just broken display hardware?

          Nope, it’s due to apparently, unpredictable commercial interactions between the card you use to pay, and the particular charging station operator lol.
