I think this is a great move. I now that most of Lemmy won’t even read it, and jump straight to “He just wants us all to have covid and polio!!!” comments.
But this change actually makes people have to answer for their ingredients and letting us know if it’s safe or not.
Funny thing is that most of Lemmy was against ultraprocessed foods until conservatives started being against them. But now all of a sudden, Lemmy is all, “Leave our food alone!” lmao

The basis of what he wants is not ridiculous, the conclusions he makes are. More transparency? Good. Less processed stuff? Good. Having parties to spread measles to inoculate kids instead of using a proven safe and effective vaccine? Batshit insane.
I can’t find where rfk has suggested measles parties. He has said vaccines are a personal choice which I agree with. People don’t get vaccinated for many left reasons and like all personal choices, it’s none of my business. I’m vaccinated and that’s my choice

He hasn’t directly, but there have been reports about the practice starting back up in Texas, which to me is just a natural result of vaccine misinformation and obsession with natural medicine which jfk has fueled.

Do you understand how “personal choice” affects other people? We also have a responsibility to protect our communities. The current outbreak in Texas in a low Vax% population is evidence of why widespread vaccination is important to protect everyone, not just the vaccinated.
I’m a big fan of this. I eat pretty healthy. I don’t eat a lot of processed garbage. I think you should know exactly what you are eating.
Sometimes YouTube “cooking” videos will pop up and Jesus, if that’s what the average person eats, no wonder we have an obesity problem.
Yep, I’m fitter than I’ve ever been in my life. It’s actually pretty simple. Just eat regular portions, simple ingredients. All this processed crap is what has made the US so unhealthy.
I assume Lemmy will hate the change just because Trumps administration is in charge, but if Dems would have made this change, Lemmy would be jumping for joy.
I always assume most Lemmy people are in their mother’s basement, demanding she bring them more Mountain Dew and Hot Pockets.
