I may make it even bigger if no users join the server

Not just a storage issue but making yourself a peer for every video is going to chew up a lot of bandwidth.

Oh, like, as in bad for the network, or just my own connection? If it’s the former, I should probably turn it down somewhat. If it’s the latter, thankfully there’s still space to spare and the server is running on an infinite traffic plan.

Also, I’m joking, of course. For legal reasons alone, I only added some trustworthy servers with good comtent to the allow list, like .wtf, makertube, spectra.video and servers like that.

Yeah, if your host has a quota for data in and out then you’re more likely to exceed it by being a redundant server. If a video you backup becomes popular it will call on your server to help serve it. Peertube is based on the BitTorrent protocol, you’re volunteering to be another seeder when you make a video redundant.

Okay, thats fine, thankfully. While I may eventually have to reduce it if more people use my server, right now, bandwith is available in spades and there are no quotas to exceed with the provider. When you mentioned it, I worried I might accidentally overload the servers I want to support, somehow.
