Fully agree, but we gotta start finding ways to fix the problem cause that ship done already sailed.

Texas’ abortion ban is too restrictive for women with pregnancy complications

I think the judges said it exactly how they meant it unfortunately.

The “unfortunately” is weird. The judge is supposed to interpret law, not decide it. And he’s determined that this law conflicts with inalienable rights in another law for a particular reason.

I understand people think it’s not broad enough, but more specific is more defensible, and more likely to stick.

Here’s the thing- if some doctor told Abbott that he could walk again if they used an aborted fetus to harvest the stem cells, he would do it in a heartbeat.

This isn’t about morality because these people have no morals and we can’t forget that.

Judge only “granted a temporary injunction” not made a final ruling.

    Also it’s pointless.

The temporary injunction is intended to last until the lawsuit is decided. But under Texas law, a ruling is automatically stayed as soon as it is appealed.

Almost every pregnancy has “complications” The judge is trying to dance around the subject. The fact is you can’t effectively ban abortion. Cave women figured it out, so banning modern women is just virtue signaling to the uneducated religious people. All these laws just remove the safety of abortion. Women with money will just travel, women with out will resort to turkey basters and chemicals, or we’ll see a drastic increase in dumpster babies. If you want to stop abortion sex education and free birth control, as hundreds of other life improvement maneuvers will stop abortion.

Which, it is. There are likely already woman that will have trouble conceiving or may not ever have children because doctors were not able to terminate a bad pregnancy.

You’re right. But I also think their point definitely calls out the utter hypocrisy of all of this being “for the children” though. It’s such transparent bullshit.
