Thunder is an open Lemmy app for iOS and Android that is currently under development. You won’t find it in any app store, so it’s not as well known as Jerboa. Still, it’s an excellent app.
The client is written in Flutter/Dart. If you have any development skills, lend a hand!
A project I am most excited about is https://github.com/derivator/tafkars/tree/main/tafkars-lemmy It’s a translation layer between the reddit API and Lemmy API. If this succeeds, the existing reddit apps can start supporting Lemmy.
Just going to add it does look like its available on android through izzyondroid fdroid repo. I’m not a developer and I wanted toupdates automatically as they are released so this is great.
Thank you for sharing! I have a meetup group with a couple of mobile devs interested in Flutter. Maybe they’ll contribute
Thanks! I’ll keep an eye in it, the more Lemmy apps the better right now. Needing to side load onto iPhone through AltStore is an interesting choice. I wonder how that will impact user adoption.
Thank you. Will star on GitHub & watch how things develop.
I have to say the UI looks very good, definitely better than Jerboa’s. A project to follow for sure.
that’s nice!
I definetely need something similar for kbin…
how is it on android compared to Jerboa?
The ui looks great. It’s basically a prototype right now but definitely keep an eye on it
Works pretty well. Nice and stable. Naturally, it doesn’t have anything in terms of profile editing as it’s a new app, but it’s a nice start.
I’d really like to see this in TestFlight, but it’s cool to learn that AltStore is a thing. Gonna check them both out when I get a chance.
