On August 8, weekday news anchors Mel Tiangco, Emil Sumangil, and Vicky Morales replaced “Serbisyong Totoo” with “News Authority ng Filipino” for the 24 Oras closing line. Its August 9 newscast also adapted this change.

Their previous closing line was more trustworthy, it gives credence to their integrity. The new one is just… it says nothing.
It tells me one thing, about how thirsty they (I’m talking about GMA7 here, as a whole, not 24 Oras) are for validation.
This seems to me like Napoleon taking the crown and putting it in its own head. Sure, they’re at a point where they can do that, but I think it’s incredibly tacky and would invite suspicion.
