I genuinely don’t know what to do with this story. If this was from 2018 or something and the Trump administration were putting pressure to stop an investigation, that makes sense.
But in 2022? I’m guessing that’s not a thing from the top down, but maybe some regional boss somewhere? I know the FBI is a deeply conservative institution, so that wouldn’t shock me.
FBI NY office is deeply deeply compromised by the Russian mob, which is to say, pro-Trump.
And it’s not like Merrick “I Enjoy Peeing My Bed” Garland didn’t squash any investigations into Trump until 2022.
