    Wow… I’ve never seen a saddle valve on a gas line. While I think people make a bigger deal about them than warranted when it comes to water lines I would NEVER use one for gas.

    Nice work on the replacement. It looks very clean.

      I added a saddle valve on a waterline for a fridge icemaker about 20 years ago. So far it’s been fine but I get more anxious about it over time. I’ve never been good with folder it pipes so I really wish I could hire someone to replace it

      (Plumbers around here won’t take small jobs, nor even a bunch of small jobs as one medium. I had a guy quote me $3,000 because some nonsense about you can’t replace a saddle valve without re-piping to pvc)
