Turkeys are stupid and angry. I think the only bird less intelligent than a turkey would be a guinea fowl, but they have the edge of just being suicidally dumb. I’ve had a Guinea run away from my car and then back in front of it in confusion, but never have I had one openly charge my vehicle. I’ve had a turkey do that, though.

Wait. Are seagulls worse than black swans? Are they worse than Australian Magpies? I mean these surely got to be the top three worst birds, personally I’d prefer a seagull to a swan, but I’ve met enough magpie haters so I wouldn’t be so sure everyone agrees

Everything we complain about regarding pigeons are traits humans intentionally bred into them across millenia.

Pigeons did not invade cities. We abandoned them there, after they helped us coordinate building and connecting them. And we inexplicably treat them like the invaders after abandoning them the second they were no longer deemed useful.

I can explain. They carry diseases, shit everywhere and I actually need to be careful not to step on them and dodge when they fly near the ground because, they are absolutely not afraid of humans and also stupid af.

I totally support controlling their population, because they’re nothing but a plague. Apparently swapping their eggs wirh decoys is very effective. Because they are stupid af.

Yes they can be a pest too, but seagulls are smart, loud and aggressive. Pigeons are meek, shy and not very bright.

      ‘me chip’ isn’t correct either

      ‘simple as’… simple as what?

they’re not going for correct grammar, they’re phonetically spelling the accent and slang

It is my understanding that it is common in NZ/AUS to leave the “that” out which is implied.

To expand further the implication is that the whole proposition is simple and ‘Simple As’ is the end of the conversation, much like ‘End of’ which likewise suggests that no further analysis is needed.

Having known a few Aussies, I have never heard them leave out “that”. It fits in though with some of the other oddities in dialect they have.

I didn’t make the meme amigo, so I can’t speak to the nationality of the OP. However I can see entirely too much caring about the grammar in a meme about brutalizing seagulls, that and the out of left field ‘America bad’ are not things I missed about reddit

My understanding is that it’s a British term for retiree. Basically just means elderly

I know some safety nets are better than none (and that this is a meme thread I’m dragging down), but don’t fool yourself - millions of older people in the UK go hungry and cold because they can’t afford the basics.

Same in Sweden/norway. Pensionär/pensjonist are synonyms for retiree.
