    As I stated before, elsewhere:

if you watched How To Blow Up A Pipeline (2022) and are inspired to take action as shown in the movie DON’T! The procedure shown in the movie is unsafe and can get you arrested, injured or worse!

If you want to follow the advice given in the book the film was based on, make sure you exercise caution and involve members of your community who have expertise and materials needed to construct IEDs!

Happy, and more importantly safe, IED making!

Won’t this cause a huge oil spill?

Not only that but its an instance of so called “adventurism”. Such an action wouldn’t achieve much for a cause, if there is not (as shown in the movies) a larger movement behind it. The book which the film is vaguely based on and which it took the title from, makes a good argument for environment activists to move from peaceful demonstrations to destroying property (see the video I linked for a better explanation). As shown in the movie, not only is it an environmental disaster, but you gave fuel to reactionary forces

I don’t think they’re nervous at all. A few terrorist incidents would turn public opinion against protesters and on the side of the perceived victims, the oil industry.

If anything, they’re probably looking forward to it.
