Please ignore this post, just testing cross-posting in Alexandrite

First stable release!

GitHub link

Photon is now stable enough for people to be able to use. It’s a sleek Lemmy client where basically the only selling point is that it looks decent

I’d recommend logging in with an alt account for now, as I might freak something up that causes your credentials to leak. That’s basically impossible to have happen, but better safe than sorry.

What features should be priority right now?

So…no longer doing the photon dot Lemmy dot world?

I used it a lot. The only complaint I have is the access to the subs I mod needs to be more streamlined. I would prefer to see the link to them accessible from my front page view.

It would be super awesome to be able to subscribe to the post feed with notifications for new posts using the same notification flag (or similar maybe a different color) as the comments flag. The mod load is not high here, but I have had to do a half dozen removals in the last month. It would be nice to know about them.

I REALLY like how you did the voting system to avoid featuring the sludge lizard man. Thanks

Sorry! Please ignore this post, I was just testing Cross-posting in Alexandrite, and I just cross-posted Photon’s first release notes to my test community which you somehow found! The original post was over a month old.

I’ll pass your messages onto Xylight though!

No problem. I had just searched for photon to see if there was some kind of post explanation for why I could no longer access photon.Lemmy.world this is how I managed to find you.
