I can only speak from personal experience, but every daily driver laptop that we’ve had in this home has needed to be replaced because one or more component ended up failing. So, either the cost to repair would be too much, or the option to repair doesn’t exist.

I have no doubt that my Framework laptop will save me money in the long term, and it still gives me the option to upgrade (not replace) the laptop whenever and however I like.
