Thanks for posting this. I came here to mention that there was once a whole thing about taking this series and turning it into people being pissed off at Jesus constantly bothering them.
So, I had a random thought the other day. And this is probably bindingly obvious and incredibly simplistic view of religion.
Way back when, people didn’t understand the world and some one or a small group invented an alternative explanation for what they couldn’t explain, therefore a higher being, a god.
They believed this so much, they passed it onto others who agreed and who in turn passed on to more people. They in turn bring up their children in this belief.
As humanity progresses, everything is explained with science and facts but religion has such a strong foothold now, you can’t really make it stop.
I’m autistic and extremely logical, so I don’t understand why people believe so strongly in something that clearly doesn’t exist.
Teaching children to believe in God is the key, I think, to why people believe so strongly. It’s basically, Mom & Dad taught me to believe in God, and I love Mom & Dad, so I believe too.
The threat of eternal damnation and a few other little tricks reduces the chances of someone questioning it all too much.
Jesus is into scat because he watches you when you poop.
For Judgment Day, he’s keeping track of how cleanly we wipe.
I’m thankful that as a tech worker he leaves me alone.
I’m unemployed and haven’t seen him hanging around either.
Where is the wrestling image and why do we never see Jesus and AJ Styles in the same room?
