What would Sync for Lemmy do?

It’s a mobile client for accessing Lemmies, presumably like sync for reddit.

    Heck yes!

Sync is easily my favourite interface for Reddit, without I I would never have been able to get into Reddit.

Having it work on Lemmy is the perfect migration.

Default to subscribed view as a “front page”, sort comments by upvotes by default

Solid handling of asynchronous interactions with overloaded servers i.e.: a user API action queue with clear indication of API return response status, ability to retry if necessary.

I’m pretty jazzed for it; my current app experience is not great. I don’t blame the developer, I understand the difficulty, but it’s pretty clunky.

What does a sync do? I keep seeing people mention that it would be like sync for Reddit but I don’t know what that is either

A native mobile app to read the content posted to Reddit/the Fediverse, but with a UI that runs on your phone instead of by loading web pages on your browser.

Awesome! I paid for the ultimate lifetime subscription when the dev announced he’d be closing it down, to show support for the great work he’s done over the years. That app was Reddit for me. So glad he’ll support Lemmy (even if not open source).
