A little bummed for Gallo (he would have loved to play for the Celts and Lord, we could have used him in the playoff), but ofc here the true issue is losing Smart. He impacted the game way beyond his stats…we will miss him, I already do. Now, I get something has to be done to address the lack of post offense, but we are just betting on KP (who is far from being *bad *per se, mind you, he’s actually a good scorer) to stay healthy. And yes, we got *some *picks back…but we were somehow forced to it having wasted two second round ones iirc for Muscala. So, overall I don’t know how to feel. I just wished we were able to move Brogdon instead, in the first iteration of this KP trade, I’d feel much better about this

I really wish they could have made it work with brogdon like I’d read about last night… This morning was a shock. Smart had been my favorite Celtic for the past seven years. Love and trust always.

Honestly, it hurts but it’s not a terrible trade from a talent perspective. 2 FRP plus Porzingis is a really good return. Marcus was a real glue guy though. We’ll have to see what else they do

I’m shocked that after this playoff performance Marcus is the one to go. At times he was the only one fighting out there. I’ve always been, possibly naively, against shooters that don’t contribute much else, so I would have loved to move on from Brogdon.

Really hope there’s more in the works. If Marcus is the only one moved the optics make it seem like they think he was a major issue with the performance and I don’t personally believe that.

I’d like to see Brogdon and Grant used to get guys that alter the way team functions. I don’t trust White as the primary ball handler (or the Jays). I actually really like Grant, but I understand the value he could bring back in a S&T. I’m really hoping there’s a PG out there that doesn’t get the buzz they deserve (a la White) that they can trade Brogdon and the new pick for.
