I really wanted to love this show like I loved Futurama.
The first season was good. And the last season, I really enjoyed. I love the voice actors and the animation too.
But once the show is over, I rarely think about it. I don’t quote lines or send memes to my friends who watch the show.
It’s weird and maybe I’ll watch it again in a decade and embrace it.
I kinda love this show for its mediocrity. It’s not a cultural icon. There’s no rabid fan base claiming it will change your life. The morality is simple and easy. It’s just some forgettable silly laughs that keeps me entertained for half an hour, and it doesn’t seem to be trying to do anything more than that. It makes me weirdly nostalgic
Honestly… it not having infinitely quited lines makes it better, in my mind. Theres so many shows that are so good… but all anyone remembers from them are shitty one-liners that get endlessly quoted.
It may not be the greatest show in the world, but its charming and fun, and the characters are generally well thought out.
I think the biggest flaws are that its considered a successor to giants, instead of having a chance to stand on its own, and being a somewhat understated comedy in an era when people really only care about “the next big thing” instead of enjoying things as they come.
The elf song pops up in my head from time to time.
Final season? On one hand I’m kind of sad, but on the other I’d rather see it end than get bad. I’ve really enjoyed this show. It’s oddly charming.
I think it’s the sort of story that benefits from an ending. I have also enjoyed the series, but the last two seasons felt like they were meandering.
I don’t have the same love for this show that I do for Futurama, Korra and some others. But I do care about the characters in a way I don’t in many of the current adult animation shows. So I am glad we will get an end to the story arc.
I was super worried that Netflix had cancelled this. I’m so happy to see we will get a proper ending
Yes, I was always worried that it would cancel without an ending. When I first watched it, I was surprised it was an overarching story and not just episodic. I’m glad it will conclude without getting cut off.
I just really like this show.
Bean, Elfo and Luci are great characters.
I hope there’s an ending that allows a reboot on another streaming service.
