The site in question: https://www.guideofthewild.com/

It includes:

  • an armor preview and upgrade materials tracker

  • a cooking simulator that includes selling price, effect duration, health restoration etc.

  • a complete Hyrule Compendium with the “default” pictures, descriptions, loot

  • an interactive map that can even be toggled between vanilla game and DLC

… and you do not need to download an app or create an account to use it. No fee either.

As a new player to Zelda in general, this is helpful but there’s so much to this game that I don’t even really know how to use this effectively.

We’ve all been there … This game simply IS overwhelming and it is completely normal to not know about every gameplay mechanic right away. People can play for literal years and still not find out everything. Maybe they never cooked food/elixirs, or never found certain armor sets, or never caught a horse, never built Tarrey Town, or never played any of the minigames. At least one person I know even missed an entire village completely for two playthroughs (Lurelin).

Just take your time and enjoy the journey. ;) The good thing about this is, that there is always something new to discover.

I’ve been trying to not look things up and just play the game with whatever challenges I’m still facing.l but just last night I figured out that I can use the Korok Leaf to steer and push the make shift boats/floats (whatever their actual name is) in the water.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say if that’s a big accomplishment for me then I have a looooong way to go in this game hahahaha
