I’m not familiar with this director, but this sounds like a wild ride and an interesting movie. Can you recommend a starting place to get into their films?
One of my favorite movies in general is Lanthimos’ The Lobster. I think it’s brilliant, macabre and funny at the same time. Big recommendation.
The Killing Of A Sacred Deer… Fascinating. I liked it too but it’s more on the psycho-horror side of things.
His last movie in cinemas was The Favorite iirc. Also plays in the Victorian era setting like this new work. I liked the movie but didn’t make the same impression on me as the other two. His earlier works I can’t give an opinion about as I have yet to watch them :)
