The thought of getting replaced by an AI freaks me out. We need strong protections for humans.
I’m just as concerned about AI have unrestricted access in healthcare.
Dave: My blood pressure is 220/144, and things are getting blurry. Can I get admitted to a hospital?
InsuranceClaimBot: “I’m sorry, Dave. I’m afraid I can’t do that,”
Dave: Doctor, my chest is tightening. Since I can’t get in the hospital, can you prescribe some medicine?
MediBot9000: “I’m sorry, Dave. I’m afraid I can’t do that, but here’s your bill for my services…”
Human oversight over devices? Sure. Device oversight over people? No, that’s nightmare stuff.

Headlines about negative impacts surrounding the strikes should always include mention of the AMPTP’s unwillingness to bargain with the unions. They went like 100 days without even speaking, hoping to starve members into submission.
Exactly. But won’t someone think of the shadowy millionaires and billionaires?
