Just in case anyone was waiting for sales instead of features.

Already on sale, when the price was supposed to go up after launch? It feels as if the publisher wants to wrangle some more money out of this before pulling the plug. Guess that’s a very negative take and I hope I’m wrong.

For now I’ll just let this sale pass and wait until a heat system is in place. That’s the milestone I’ve set for myself as knowing myself I won’t enjoy the game without the risk of kerbonauts burning to a crisp if I screw up.

In the end it doesn’t feel like a discount anyway, but more like somewhat getting in the neighborhood of the price that this game should have launched at.

    Sorry for the negative vibes.

Negative vibes are warranted for this one, IMHO. Very botched launch and still haven’t delivered on the promises. KSP1 playership continues to outpace it. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a death rattle.

Well, I don’t mind if it is done right. For example in case of Satisfactory devs listen to the community feedback and publish regular updates (in the form of update videos) about what they are working on. I also bought that game for a low price which justifies the ‘work-in-progress’ state the game is in.

With KSP 2 the publisher already threw away my trust by asking an absurdly high price compared to the state the game is in. That’s just disrespectful, raises my expectations and warrants a lot more scrutiny than if this game has launched at say €15,-.

Edit: some additions and corrections, switching trains and a bumpy ride doesn’t help my narrative. 😅

Man, I’m so torn. I want to support them and buy but they’ve just burned a lot of good will releasing less than a 1/3 of the features they teased and for such a cost in performance.

KSP 1 has more features and can look almost as good with mods right? They’ve just bungled this so badly.

I’m waiting for them to take the cash and abandon the game. Not the same squad it was…

This is what Nate said not that long ago yes. I’m offended that my loyalty with buying day 1 and not refunding is so clearly not valued.

I think I’d still generally recommend against purchasing the game in the current state. It lacks gameplay objectives all together while still having several bugs. While the game could be great for someone who enjoys the sandbox and setting their own goals, I think the general playerbase would not get their money worth with KSP2 in the current state.

Oh I agree that it’s not really worth it’s cost yet. I didn’t pay $50 for the game because the have itself is when anything near that. Rather, it was worth the 50 to me to pay the devs to keep building the damn thing.

Absolutely. I saw my purchase as a late payment of KSP1 as I played it on a friends computer for several hundred hours before purchasing it on a -90% steam sale and putting my own ~300 hours into that. My playtime has been worth a lot more than what I paid for KSP1, so I’m happy to donate $50.
