Wales coach Warren Gatland says he hopes water breaks are not introduced in the 2023 World Cup but would not argue with any World Rugby decision.

With 30C+ heat, especially in the south, surely this is just sensible? Gatland with his old minds games is back!

    Definitely mind games, I think this is aimed at the Welsh team though. Indirectly telling them that he thinks they are so fit they won’t need extra breaks where others might.

    Personally I’m not sure it is necessary, they didn’t need it in Japan and it was sweltering.

    There’s plenty of opportunity to get water during the normal course of a game, there’s no need for water breaks. The MLR introduced them in order to show commercials and for no other reason.
