Fulton County, Ga., District Attorney Fani Willis (D) penned a scathing letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) after he asked her to turn over all documents related to her prosecution of former President Trump and 18 others on charges related to election interference.

The nine-page letter at turns accuses Jordan of “offend[ing]” Constitutional principals with “your attempt to interfere with and obstruction this office’s prosecution,” suggests he buy a book on racketeering prosecution at the price offered for non-attorneys and casts her response as voluntary as “settled constitutional law clearly permits me to ignore your unjustified and illegal intrusion.”

“Your attempt to invoke congressional authority to intrude upon and interfere with an active criminal case in Georgia is flagrantly at odds with the Constitution,” Willis wrote in a letter first reported by the Atlanta Journal–Constitution and also obtained by The Hill.

Man, that jab about the book price offered to non-attorneys. Love to see it.

Although he has a law degree, Jim Jordan never passed (or rather states he never took) the exam to actually become a lawyer.

Apologies, I wasn’t clear in my question. Are there differences on prices of books for lawyers or non-lawyers?

Not an attorney so I can’t say. But in the full quote it seems to be a lawerly book so maybe, just like licensed contractors can get discounts on hardware they would use in their trade (like for construction or auto mechanics).

DA Willis kickin’ ass and taking names. I really have to wonder how deeply embedded Jordan is in all this treasonous insurrection. SMH

I haven’t seen a Georgia letter like that since W.T. Sherman told the ATL mayor to gtfo.

Well written by a lady of justice & JJ is as crooked as they come. He is a scumbag - he can gtfo too.

This article is inaccurate! It contains a blatant misquote! It falsely accuses Ms Willis of using the word “principals” where “principles” would be correct. In reality, the linked letter uses the correct word.

I like how she keeps bringing up serial rapists and her office’s needs for funding to help prosecute serial rapists based on DNA they’ve collected. It’s like, maybe she knows a lil something about Chairman Jordan’s intense drive to bring rapists to justice. /s

This whole letter is a master class in “Please continue to FA. Surely you’ll never find out, right?”.
