    Keepass.

    cloud-based password managers

Sa Citibank pwede e, but they’re no longer around. And malakas ESP ng fraud team nila when it comes to suspicious transactions. I got a call from them early in the morning asking if I placed an order on ASOS worth 2k, sabi ko hindi kasi tulog pa ako. It’s not a huge amount and they rightly called it na possibly fraudulent.

They should take their cue from those guys.

The new BPI, Unionbank, Tonik, and Security bank apps allow password autofill. Hindi ako naka-root.

25 characters na may specials, ita-type ko

eto yung gusto ko sa 1password, they have the option to use memorable password.

          1. set the number of words to use - Useful sa mga apps/websites na may limit ung password chars (looking at you SecBank na 15 character limit)
          2. to use numbers, space, hyphen, special characters as separators - For those na hindi allowed yung special characters sa password

          Example: BLACK8pink@in0your7area

          edit: formatting.

            Same with Bitwarden.

            the new BPI

Oh may bago palang app. The legacy app doesn’t allow autofilling.

If ever ma-LastPass si 1password (knock on wood) , how do you suggest yung migration ng accounts?

Very very true yung cons mo sa cloud based password manager.

Export them to unencrypted one. Meron naman sigurong feature si 1Password to import/export data.

BPI web doesn’t allow you to copypasta, pero may workaround sa Firefox (PC). Autofill from password manager works, though. Kakatest ko lang.

I’m also using Firefox mobile, walang problem si Keepass2Android for autofilling. Iilang apps talaga, di gumagana.

I also tried Criterion Channel (kahit nung Filmstruck pa siya dati) and parang ganun din, hindi ko nasusulit. I like it better than Mubi though, for a lot of reasons. Inclusion of commentary tracks and some titles have a preview wherein their curators explain tidbits about what you are about to watch.

Max (aka. HBO Max) is the best bang for the buck IMO. If you want Criterion-type titles, they have a large selection of it. On top of the dozens of awesome HBO shows and Warner movies.

    netflix

pros: content-filled, maraming c-grade pictures, may handful tv series (sex education final season sa sept. 21), may 4k quality, may games, may RRR, tambakan ng sony pictures.

cons: tambakan ng forgettable star-studded netflix pictures (ryan reynolds yey, sana bilhin ni netflix ang rights ng Deadpool lol, para double whammy), maraming selections na to the point ma ooverwhelm ang iilan.

    hbo go

pros: hbo/warner bros. catalogue, merong band of bros., the sopranos, the wire, euphoria, at chernobyl. pwede ring tambakan ng sony pictures.

cons: hanggang 1080p streaming lang, halos lahat naka-crop to 16:9, “fckin stretch that tiny little p**sy.”

    mubi

pros: pang-film buff, merong wong kar-wai at yorgos lanthimos.

cons: di pwede sa mainstream audience

    disney+

cons: oversharpened and oversaturated pictures, compressed audio, 4k kuno, basurang chromecast feature.

wala akong prime video, hintayin ko pa new season ng invincible… at pagkakaalam ko tambakan ng mgm at orion pictures dun, binili ni jeffbezos ang leo the lion.

sulit ba na may apat na service?

    hindi.

Damn, dude. Ang dami mong subscriptions. If I had all of that, I’d be stressed out every month just trying to think of ways para lang masulit sila.

I only have CuriosityStream + Nebula. 2nd year ko na, di ko rin masulit.

Never again. Balik sa one subscription, Netflix.

after posting this, i finally re-organized my password vault with keepass2, only the frequent accounts i imported, kept my bitwarden vault on my hard drive and i’ll print one later for physical reference. i don’t really know why i did this, siguro boring o nacompulse dahil sa potanginang init ng panahon. meron pala akong over 90 login credentials, at halos mga basurang account.

whenever i edit something on my vault, yu-esbe is mandatory.

    pc: keepass2, android: keepass2android, yu-esbe: sandisk dual drive 64gb (type a, type c)

I, too, am in the process of re-compartmentalizing my passwords, like separate vaults per class of access. Sobrang hassle. Like you, ang dami ngang basura.

I don’t think I could ever just use a pure offline password manager, though. Laki ng concern ko not about the technology, but about my possible mishandling of the password database (corruption, sync, etc.). Ang malas ko sa file corruption.

Maybe it’s okay to use for the critical recovery accounts for the online password manager that I only have to set up once.

My only fear of this process is my flash drive and external SSD healthiness. What if bigla na lang maco-corrupt o masisira ang drives ko kahit anong pag-iingat ko. SanDisk and Kingston are my only brand choices when it comes to computer drives. Tested na sila sa akin, and ni-isa wala pang palya.

I’ll just assume na, “my own data, my responsibility. No one else to blame but myself, whatever happens.” Lol
