Seems like quite a dereliction of duty on ABC’s part to not post the video every time they talk about it. Almost seems like they’re actively running cover. You’re the news. Your job is to give me the event, give me context. Not write seven sentences, decline to show the offending incident, and basically just kinda brush it aside. Then again ABC is dogshit.
This page has the video, for anyone else that hadn’t seen it and tried to google “cop bodyslams kid” and were swimming in similar videos.
Jesus, that was brutal and could have did life threatening and/or permanent damage.
He wasn’t even resisting he just didn’t want them grabbing his hand.
And how was he held in jail for two days I think, on simply charges? What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Also he was a minor, right?
So many wtfs that are probably answered by his skin color, unfortunately…
Thanks. For videos like this, ABC News and all the other blah blah news on TV always have blow-dry anchors warning that viewer discretion is advised, and you should take any children into the next room, and then they’ll air an edited, redacted, narrated clip from the video. Just show me the damned video.

Gotta love a timeline where “cop bodyslams kid” isn’t specific enough, eh? Fucking hell.
It’s always paid leave…
At my job if I body slammed a random kid I wouldn’t get a paid vacation
Let me put it another way, if I got a paid vacation for body slamming a kid, I’d return to work with a wrestling belt on.
I’d like to think it depends on the kid
The school forgot to add WWF moves to their disciplinary policy.
Georgia police turning it up lately.
They really are trying to make Robocop look like a good idea. At least a robot could be trained.
