A Georgia judge has ruled that former President Donald Trump and 16 others will be tried separately from two defendants who are set to go to trial next month in the case accusing them all of participating in an illegal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

As expected. Georgia is pretty strict about the right to a speedy trial, which two defendants requested. It was always going to be a nightmare to get 19 people ready for a complicated trial within 8-10 weeks.
It’s too soon to say which side benefits more from this (Trump or the prosecution), but this will certainly give some preview of the sorts of arguments that both sides will put on during the main event.
Trump benefits, 100%.
Lame.
