    They can and are converting to charging stations. Plus in many countries, they have already morphed into a groceries store. In my country, KFC, Starbucjs and McD joints et al., are now conjoined to gas stations everywhere. Having to charge your EV for 30 mins means MORE time spent at the gas station = more spending. They’re not going away anytime soon.

      You make a good point. I see gas stations either morphing into something different (e.g. grocery store, coffee shop, fast food) or preexisting businesses that already keep customers for ~30 minutes will morph into charging hubs as a side-business. Businesses that focus on refuelling with quick customer visits (aka gas stations) are a model of the past, IMO.

      If I were the CEO of a nationwide chain restaurant, it would be a top priority to install 2 DC fast chargers at every location. If EV drivers knew that every McDonalds had a fast charger, then McDonalds would be synonymous with charging.
