Okay, I’ve got to ask. I’ve been on lemmy.world for a few days, and I keep seeing the word “federated” being used a lot, and I don’t really get it. I googled the definition of the word. But now I’ve seen someone call their foot federated, so I’m even more confused. I think I’m bright, but will admit I’m also pretty stupid.
Can someone please explain to me what it means, or at least link me a page or something that will explain it?
