It’s worth remembering that although roller coasters are engineered by people who perform exhaustive safety checks, r+d and careful analysis, the maintenance, assembly and operation is performed by minimum wage carnies.

One of the photos shows the wheels of one of the cars still attached to the track but on the ground. This might have been related to the rescue though as they detached the cars and lowered them by a crane. It’s just strange to see that image as that would be a catastrophic failure.
