Jesus Christ. It’s like every company got together and decided to start enshittifying at the same time. There’s some new story about another company fucking over its users multiple times a day it seems like.

It’s been a long time coming unfortunately. I’ve been fighting for open and interoperable systems for two decades and I’ve always been met with pushback from my non technical friends. And it makes sense because they just want to get stuff done.

I’m just happy that people are now seeing the damage caused by proprietary systems and lock in. At least it’s becoming mainstream so hopefully people start moving to more open systems where enshittification is more difficult.

I noticed this the other day. If you go into taskbar settings you can turn it off. It’s horseshit it gets enabled by default but it’s just Microsoft being a steaming pile of shit like every other company lately.
