    Interesting article though her tone leaves me wondering how much she’s interacted with any fetish communities in real life. Yeah online many struggle with shame and alienation, but that’s one side of a coin where the other is people who’ve built vibrant communities in their local environments and have little shame.

      Not sure I agree here, seems she interacted pretty significantly with kink people. Sure most of her knowledge about most of the kinks were as a passive observer, but with her background, her audience, and her original surveys, she certainly has more direct contact with various communities than the vast majority of people.

        That’s fair. There’s a chance that the communities I’ve been a part of have been exceptional in these regards
