Hezbollah operates as both a political party and paramilitary group and is designated by the U.S. as a terrorist organization.

It holds a great deal of power in Lebanon in the form of its Shiite political party, which holds 62 seats in the country’s Parliament, alongside its Iran-backed proxy militant unit.

Lebanon is facing its worst economic crisis in history, with triple-digit inflation and a currency that has lost more than 90% of its value since the onset of an economic crisis in 2019. Almost three quarters of the Lebanese people live below the poverty line.

    No it won’t.

IDF is not the best ground fighting force in the world, but literally every other “military” force in the middle east is a joke.

Hezbollah isn’t even a real military, it’s a paramilitary. At most they’re going to amplify collateral if they get invovled.

Israel would face a significant threat if any competent force joined which doesn’t exist. Egypt’s army exists to earn money. KSA runs on USA military aid. Iran is outdated and doesn’t have any decent experience winning in a large scale war. Jordan doesn’t have a supply line. Iraq doesn’t have any interest either.

Even Hamas is a basically a rag tag team of urban dessert bandits, they have no supply line which is why they probably went for hostages.

And this is all ignoring the fact that the USA could easily get directly invovled in which case you will be orbitally nuked.

There’s even a joke/rumor that Egypt’s own generals provided the war intel on their bases and airfields to Israel because they had no real interest in actually fighting.

This is either going to be a slaughter in the Gaza strip, or a painful several weeks of high risk dense urban fighting assuming Hamas holds out (which they might be able to pull off).

No matter the situation, no one else is going to get invovled to a degree that it would make a difference.

It’s a game changer because other countries would get directly involved in the conflict

This is a pointless discussion. It’s not going to happen, if it did it would be immediately shut down. This expert has come to the same conclusion as the US, and Israel: if Hezbollah were able to take advantage of the Hamas conflict it would indeed be a shit show.
