As an avid scuba diver, can confirm that this meme is accurate. The one exception is when your crazy friend puts his extended camera in the giant eel’s face and it starts chasing the camera. I have heard stories of someone getting bit in the face and drowning because their mouth was destroyed by the super sharp teeth and they no longer could suck in air from their regulator. Moral of the story is that getting up in their face is a dumb idea.
