Proudly ignorant. Every single one of them is acting like they’re at a rock concert and this is just a weekend getaway. I see a bunch of people deep in denial, and they are all 100% ready to double and triple down. There is no deprogramming with these types. These are the people who will die before they let themselves be wrong.
Maybe. Alternatively, maybe they are desperate to feel a connection with others who have had the same painful experiences, and to hear voices that will speak to those shared experiences. Maybe these characters will simply pick up on a different trail the moment the one they now are pursuing begins to go cold.
