Wtf? You can’t be political during city council meetings?
These blatant civil rights violations always end up hurting the taxpayers. Why do officials keep doing this?The people who talk loudest about loving America — which certainly includes most politicians and obviously the Mayor of Newton, Iowa — seem to know the least about America, the Constitution, and just the whole idea.
A small critique on your title: there is a city named Iowa City in the state of Iowa. Since this happened in Newton, maybe change the title to “Newton, Iowa sued […]”?

I need the state or nation in the headline, for quick doublechecking so’s I don’t post the same cop-kills-a-black-man story as a few days ago. The name of the towns matter less to me, Newton or Springfield or Fluffy Landing (which exists, it’s in Florida), but hey, I’ll make an effort. :)
