Autumn started here and I have rain every day, temps dropped a lot. I’m checking the forecast every hour, hoping for a dry window to ride a bit.

But this summer was exceptional. Usually, I barely ride July and August, as it has been way too hot over the last years (32 - 39°C). This year, most of the summer was only 25-30°C, so I was riding as much as possible to not regret it when the rainy weather starts.

Frogg Toggs, waterproof boots, and waterproof gloves were the best things I’ve ever bought for riding.

Especially this one, which I bought for around $3000… with 300 miles on it. Not a typo. Three, zero, zero. It was actually on 299, I rolled it over to 300 on my ride home.

Homeboy bought it, tipped it over once, got a-skeered of it, and it sat in his garage for two years before he finally got rid of it. The story he gave me was that he didn’t like it because it “wasn’t as much bike as an R6.” Yeah, okay buddy. Here’s your cash. See ya. Nyeeeeeow.
