Read this article a while back and thought I would share it. I love how much the movie ingrains itself in some of us - like it really did make us who we are.

I remember watching that movie at my babysitters when I was like seven and thinking “this isn’t how fucking hacking works.”
I still loved it though.
I participated in a CTF event about 15 years ago where one of the boxes was a streaming music server with a (definitely not pirated) copy of the Hackers soundtrack as the initial playlist. It wasn’t the most challenging machine in the room but still a nice way to set up the atmosphere before fingers started hitting keyboards.
