    Well - while I was excited for it, keep in mind Dolphin does indeed bundle Wii decryption keys with the emulator. Yuzu, for instance, won’t read games unless you provide a file containing the keys - Dolphin decided to bundle the keys to skip that step, but that does mean it includes copyrighted material.

    Too bad, that could have been nice and easy for the Steam Deck

    Hopefully the DMCA takedown is determined to be invalid

      it won’t be dolphin is distrubuting private game keys with their emulator that they shouldn’t be. however they don’t really have an option not to since there is no way to dump your own keys on the wii.

        Yeah. I have no love for Nintendo’s love of legal action, but they’re completely within their rights on this and could have done way more (they might still).

        I’m surprised this made it into the source code, I thought Dolphin was a completely clean room project.

        there is no way to dump your own keys on the wii.

        Is that true? I see a number of projects that seems to say they can dump Wii keys.

      Cloud syncs was what I was most looking forward to, since it would have made continuing progress from deck to desktop so much easier.
