I’ve been looking for a decent colour-face watch that will look good as a more “dressy” watch for special occasions. It’ll be my second big watch purchase.
This one caught my eye as, being from Nottinghamshire myself, I like the design and the fact that it pays subtle homage to the city.
Obviously it’s a new microbrand, but it’s got some good reviews (see here for example) and some nice specs - a Miyota 9039 Automatic movement and a double-dome sapphire crystal.
What do you guys think? Any words of caution/encouragement?
I gotta say, I didn’t ever wear a watch until I got a smart watch, but damn! That’s a beautiful watch!
I generally prefer blue dials, but this one isn’t bad. I also like the overall design of it.
Never heard of Sherwood before. From their abouts page it seems like the company was started by an enthusiast. Also the terms and conditions seems a bit short (though the guarantee they give is generous), would prefer to see more sections on quality assurance, accuracy of claims, etc.
But seems like a good watch. Ultimately the decision is up to you. If you do go for it, enjoy!
That seconds hand is a nice touch, especially the lumed arrowhead.
