    That’s one I don’t have in my collection! Thanks! Checking it out now. It’s so much easier to find programs on my linux machine; but alas I don’t have the power to run a VM of Windows with all the software.

    That’s a great image. If you don’t mind I’m going to run it through a preset I have for you. It will pull the flower into focus. Let me know if you want the specs. ;)

        Yep. Topaz SharpenAI. The Topaz Collection is one of the best programs I’ve found help my photography. I find myself using it much more than any Adobe software. I’ve been trying it out for the past 2 weeks or so; it has blown my mind away. I can take a 640x480 image taken on a Nokia from back in the day and make a nice 1080 or larger image from it.

          I use it too, it’s impressive for the price. I don’t like to go overboard, sometimes I feel like if I use it too much, it overshadows my skill.

            I understand. It’s hard to draw a line with software. However even with film I was adjusting stops, feathering images as they develop, and using different papers for various results. It has become blurry in a sense.

              By the way I use this ImageMagick to reduce filesize before I upload my photos here. The final JPG photos I get after converting RAW are about 9-12MB.

              I have to use the command below, otherwise people won’t be able to display my images here. It would take a long time on slow wifi otherwise.

              That’s part of the reason the images lose some sharpness.

              reduce-image-size () {
              	convert ${1} -resize 1920x1080 -strip -quality 80% -define jpeg:extent=2MB "${1%.*}_converted.jpg"
              }
