    To be clear, I am in favor of a wealth gains tax for Washington state. 1% is a drop in the bucket for most of the people who are making millions a year (especially if the first $250 million per year is not taxed, per the article). I would support an income tax before a wealth tax, but pushing that through the state legislature will probably never happen.

    Normal people move because of their families and jobs.

    1% of 160 billion is 1.6 billion. The most expensive home in Miami is .17 billion. If he bought that house, the most expensive possible option, he’s saving 1.43 billion. He could buy a full blown cruise ship with a few thousand guest rooms in it and still come out ahead…

    Just like everybody else… Lol.
