    I didn’t know this! I’ve been to the field museum many times going back to when I was a kid, and it’s always been cool to see how the info they have changes with the times.

    I remember learning that they found healed fractures in some of the bones, indicating Sue got into some kind of fight, had a major injury, and recovered! which was always pretty astounding to me.

    The latest time I went back they made a discovery that there was also some kind of fungal infection in the bones as well. You could see the patch of holes that they identified it from on the skeleton! Crazy to think about all the things that dinosaur went through in its life, and even crazier that we’re still learning new things from the bones

      If you haven’t then Dinosaur 13 is an excellent documentary that covers a lot about what happened before, during and after they found this skeleton.
